This article aims to present the performance capabilities of Ni surfaces in an intuitive manner, moving beyond technical data sheets. For professionals such as designers, architects, and fabricators, detailed specifications can be found in our data sheets.
Heat Resistance
Ni surfaces can withstand temperatures up to 120 degrees Celsius for prolonged periods. To demonstrate their heat resistance, we conducted a test using boiling water and steam at 100 degrees Celsius.
In the accompanying video, you'll observe that Ni surfaces maintain their color and show no visible damage after exposure. The size and weight of the surface remain unchanged. However, there are a couple of precautions to note:
Thermal Shock: Rapid temperature changes can cause the surface to crack. To avoid this, always use trivets or insulators for hot items.
Direct Heat Exposure: Prevent direct contact with hot objects to avoid potential damage.
Stain Resistance
While Ni surfaces can be stained by prolonged exposure to harsh chemicals, everyday household substances and food generally do not leave permanent marks. Any stains that do occur can typically be cleaned easily.
In our video demonstration, coffee, ketchup, and metal marks are effortlessly wiped away. We invite you to visit our showroom and take a sample for your own testing. However, please avoid using permanent markers on Ni surfaces, as these marks are intended to be indelible. Additionally, steer clear of harsh industrial chemicals, as some are formulated to degrade quartz and other stones.
Impact Resistance
Our video includes several stress tests to illustrate the impact resistance of Ni surfaces. It’s important to note that these tests are extreme and should not be replicated at home.
While every material has its limits, our tests show that Ni surfaces are robust and durable. If you have specific requirements or if you are unsure whether Ni surfaces are suitable for your needs, please contact us for further assistance.
Feel free to explore the videos and visit our showroom for a hands-on experience. For more detailed performance data, refer to our professional data sheets.
